Autumn Night Rain
By Lian Huang
(黄楝 原诗 黄楝 英译)
Autumn rain approaches the window
With deliberate and elegant steps
Autumn rain sprinkles her strings from the sky
Autumn rain hums in tender voice a lullaby
Autumn rain invites a cool breeze into the room
I'm possessed the night's dazed with dreams forgetting the moon and stars
She makes poetic all the things in nature
She soaks the melancholy
and loneliness of flying glowworms
in the insects' voice Hope joins in her singing vigorously
She ruddies the smiles in trance and iron the wrinkles flat
The night's possessed my fluctuating illusory dreams spread all over the sky without starlight
